Alabama HTEC Conference to be Held at Calhoun
The Alabama Regional Haas Technical Education Center (HTEC) Conference will be hosted by Calhoun this year in the Aerospace Training Center (ATC) on the Decatur campus. The event will be held Thursday, February 3 from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and will include industry speakers, vendor/partner exhibits, HTEC lab demonstrations and tours, as well as tours of the Alabama Robotics Technology Park (RTP). Lunch will also be provided for those in attendance.
General session topics will include “Morgan County – Prosper & Grow” by Jeremy Nails, President of MCEDA and “The Power of Networking” by Bob Skodzinsky. Terry Griffin, Director of the Alabama RTP, will give an update on the Alabama Robotics Technology Park.
Afternoon breakout sessions will include presentations on Motivating Adult Learners; Cutting Fluids and Applications; Mastercam; Postprocessor Workshop; ToolingU; Conducting Needs Analysis for Business and Industry; Cutting Tool Application and Selection Tapping and Milling; Learn CNC - Immersive Engineering; and NIMS. Live demonstrations will be offered by Haas Automation/HFO Jeffreys and WIDIA.
