Business and Finance

Calhoun's Business Office is the financial hub of the College.  The office staff are responsible for planning, organizing and managing complex College financial and statistical record-keeping activities and operations.  In conjunction with the various College Program Deans and the College President, the Vice President for Financial and Administrative Services is responsible for the College budget preparation and control, prepares State budget reports; monitors cash flow and performs budget transfers; maintains accounts receivable, general fund revenue, prepares financial statements, budgetary documents, and various records and reports to assure the smooth and efficient operation of the College’s operating budget.  The Vice President for Financial and Administrative Services also oversees personnel and activities in the Campus Bookstores, Mail Services, Maintenance, Payroll and Public Safety.

  • Surplus property of Calhoun Community College (Decatur Campus) will be offered for sale on the web site www.govdeals.com beginning April 17, 2017 @ 8:00 a.m. until April 24, 2017. This is a government auction website and you MUST be registered on the web site in order to make a bid on any items. You may view the surplus property to be sold without a registration. The govdeals.com web site will contain detailed information including descriptions & photos. Some of the items for sale include: ‘97 Ford Crown Victoria, car lift, large paper folder, DS C690C Camera, computer controlled cutting machine, musical equipment, computer & A/V equipment, photography equipment & supplies, office furniture & much more. Items may be inspected by APPOINTMENT ONLY: Monday, April 17 through Thursday, April 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Contact the individual listed as the Asset Contact for the specific auction item, to schedule an appointment for inspection.
