At Calhoun Community College, we welcome high school graduates, GED recipients, transfers from other colleges and universities, and former Calhoun students. Through our dual enrollment program eligible high school students may also enroll in college classes concurrently with high school classes, either at the college campus or at the high school, to receive both high school and college credit. For detailed admissions requirements, please click here.
Your Application for Admission provides us with the information we need to get you started. Once you've submitted your application, the admissions office must receive identification documentation for admission. This link will detail the acceptable forms of identification according to State Policy. To ensure you are placed in the correct classes, Calhoun uses a placement testing program mandated by our governing authority, the Alabama State Board of Education. This placement test must be completed before a student may enroll in English, reading, or mathematics or for any student registering for more than four semester hours. The placement testing program is designed to place students in courses based on their current knowledge and ability.
Our advisors are waiting to help you build your first schedule of classes. The office of Admissions and Records will also assist you when you are ready to graduate or transfer to another college. Use the links at the left to assist you and welcome to Calhoun Community College.
