Calhoun Announces 2021 Graduation Activities; Huntsville Municipal Court Judge Sybil Cleveland to Deliver Commencement Address

Calhoun Community College will premiere its 2021 pre-recorded graduation ceremony on Friday, May 14, 2021, beginning at 12:00 p.m. through a virtual ceremony. The College’s Nursing Program will also hold its traditional in-person Candlelighting Ceremony from 10:00 am – 11:00 am in the Kelley Gymnasium on Calhoun’s Decatur campus. Although guests are not permitted to attend, the event will be streamed on the college’s website at www.calhoun.edu/graduation, as well as on the Calhoun YouTube and Facebook Page. Calhoun To Send 5.3 Million Dollars to Students in Stimulus Payments

Calhoun Community College is distributing 5.3 million dollars to students taking credit hour classes. Students who are enrolled in credit classes for the spring 2021 semester and who qualify under the federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) will receive a stimulus payment. The grant allocation will also include high school students taking classes at Calhoun through the Dual Enrollment Program. More than seven thousand students are qualified for the award.
