Campus Visits/Tours

Calhoun Community College has two campuses.  Our Decatur campus is located just north of the Tennessee River on Highway 31 and is close to 1 mile long.  Our Huntsville campus, located on Wynn Drive in Cummings Research Park, sits adjacent to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, just off I-565.  Our combined credit student enrollment is just under 12,000.  Whether you have made your choice to attend Calhoun or have just started your educational journey with us and need a guided tour, we welcome you to schedule your campus visit today to get a first-hand look at our beautiful campuses and what we have to offer.

We have several options for tours depending, on which campus you wish to tour and your specific needs.

Student Guided Tours:  Want a tour of the campus from a student perspective?  Calhoun’s Warhawk Student Ambassadors provide short tours lasting approximately 30-45 minutes which are designed to show you around campus and give you a little student insight on what to expect when you become a Calhoun student.  We are no longer taking reservations for spring semester tours.  Our student ambassadors are not here during the summer semester.  Please check back in the fall for student guided tour options.  In the meantime, check on our staff guided tour options below.

Staff Guided Tours, Decatur Campus:  Need a more in-depth tour, jam packed with information?  Then perhaps a Staff Guided tour is what you’re looking for. These individual tours of the Decatur Campus for 1-4 people, must be arranged at least 24 hours in advance. The tours last approximately an hour. To arrange a Decatur Campus, Staff Guided tour, please call the Advising Center at (256) 260-2492 to make an appointment.

Group Tours: Group tours of 5 or more students from high schools in our service area should be arranged with the appropriate Calhoun recruiter (see recruiters).
