In March of 2024, the Calhoun College Foundation Scholarship Committee, chaired by Dr. Jeanne Payne, presented the RISE (ReInvestment Scholarship for Employees) to Carla Crayton,  Surgical Technology Instructor for her continuing education efforts.  Ms. Crayton is pursuing her Master of Science in Healthcare Management.  She is a Calhoun alumnus and has been employed at Calhoun for 6 years. According to Ms. Crayton, “I’m always looking for opportunities to increase my learning potential, career advancement, and specialized knowledge in different departments around the college. I’m applying for this scholarship because I always preach to my students to apply for scholarships. In this scholarship will be used towards my Master’s Degree and also help me gain more knowledge in the healthcare field. “
