General Education SLOs

General Education Student Learning Outcomes Results for Spring 2024

Under each category/department below you will find two types of reports. The first type, titled “Alignment/Overall SLO Results,” comes from the alignments placed on the columns in your Canvas grade center. These reports use a 70% benchmark for each course. For example, you might see that 89% of students in a given course earned 70% of better for their total score on the SLO assignment. This data is disaggregated by modality (traditional, traditional – dual enrollment, and distance learning).

The second type of report will be a breakdown of the rubric rows for each SLO. This is only available for communication and critical thinking since we do not use a rubric for accountability. In many cases, you will see this by individual courses and by course prefixes. In some cases, there is only one course in the given department utilizing the rubric so only the course report is provided.
