Student Learning Outcomes
Student learning outcomes are a critical component of Calhoun’s Institutional Effectiveness Plan to improve student learning. Two types of student learning outcomes are measured at Calhoun Community College (CCC): General Education Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and Program Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs). General Education SLOs assess student learning based on the general education required for all degrees (AS and AAS) at Calhoun. For Spring 2024, we assessed accountability, communication, and critical thinking as our outcomes. Program SLOs assess student learning specific to each program. For Spring 2024, Canvas alignments and rubrics were used to collect student learning outcomes data. We do have changes coming for the Spring 2025 semester.
