Calhoun Community College (the “College,” “We,” “CCC”) sends text messages using SMS messaging services, via TargetX, Zoom, and external platforms, to communicate with students about application and enrollment deadlines, application updates, events, reminders, and other important information. Subscribing to the service is not required to apply for or gain admission to the college. The service provides you with information, via text messaging, that the college deems helpful and pertinent.

Students or prospective students of Calhoun Community College can choose to receive SMS updates by selecting “YES” when prompted with, “I would like to receive text messages about the enrollment process at Calhoun Community College,” during the application. If you prefer not to receive messages, you can select “NO” to opt out. You can also stop receiving messages at any time by replying with “STOP” to any text sent by CCC.

Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. By opting in to receive SMS messages, you are responsible for any charges from your carrier, including data plan fees, text message charges, tolls, out-of-area roaming, and other applicable costs. The frequency of messages will vary each month depending on your student status and activity. Your use of the SMS messaging service is subject to the College’s Privacy Policy. Calhoun Community College will never ask for, nor should you send, personally identifiable information, passwords, or any other confidential details via SMS. CCC will not share your information with third parties, except as allowed under the College’s Privacy Policy. Any mobile information you provide will be kept confidential and used solely by college staff to assist you more effectively. CCC does not share phone numbers with external entities.
