What is a Transient Student?
A transient student is a student enrolled at one university but taking classes at another institution that count towards their degree.
Important Requirements for Transient Students

Apply to Calhoun
Submit an application for admission and be sure to choose the transient student option. -
Send Your Transient Letter
Have your home school’s Registrar send a Letter of Good Standing (transient letter) to Calhoun’s Admissions Office, or upload it here. The letter must list approved courses and confirm they apply to your degree. You won’t be able to register until it’s received. -
Get Your Calhoun Login (MyCalhoun ID)
Once you’re admitted, we’ll email you a MyCalhoun login to:
- Register for classes
- View your schedule
- Pay tuition
- Access campus services

Pick Up Student Essentials
Once you’ve paid tuition, you can get:- Your student ID card
- A parking decal
- Your books from the bookstore

Request Calhoun Transcript for Credit
After the semester ends, request your Calhoun transcript be sent to your institution.
