If you need to apply to graduate for your declared Degree or a Short-Term Certificate, go to your My Degree card in MyCalhoun Experience.
If you need to apply to graduate for a degree not listed in your application options, email graduation@calhoun.edu. Make sure to include your full name and Student ID.
Transferring to Another College or University after Graduation?
Be prepared so your transition is smooth and successful. Your advisor can help you prepare. Calhoun also hosts transfer fairs and virtual recruitment events each year to connect students with other universities.
Your degree will be awarded once all requirements have been completed and all grades have been verified at the end of your term. Please allow approximately 4-6 weeks for degree(s) to post after the end of the semester.
Your diploma will be sent via Parchment. An email notification will be sent to your Calhoun email when your digital diploma has been issued. You will need to create and verify your Parchment profile to claim your digital diploma. A printed diploma will be mailed to the address listed on your graduation application.
In an effort to make sure students receive every credential they earn while at Calhoun, you may be auto-awarded certain certificates as you complete your requirements towards your degree.
An overall grade point average of 2.0 is required to earn your degree. We recommend you see an advisor or Admissions staff member to discuss eligibility for course forgiveness or academic bankruptcy to help raise your GPA.
Note: You may not bankrupt a course that is applying towards your degree. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the ceremony and complete your requirements the following term.
You must complete at least 24 hours at Calhoun to be eligible for honors. Only grades from Calhoun courses required for the degree are considered when determining graduation honors (Degrees: Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude; Certificates: With Distinction). Grades from courses that are not counted towards your degree are omitted in this calculation.
Students who have earned multiple awards (degrees and/or certificates) will only have the highest earned acknowledged during the ceremony. (ex: If a student has earned both an Associate degree and a certificate, the Associate degree will be announced at the ceremony.) Students will receive diplomas for each degree and/or certificate earned via mail.
