Road Builder’s Construction Program is seeking applicants to attend a 5-week training course to learn valuable highway construction, safety, business and operator skills that will help you succeed in the industry. Upon completion of the course, you’ll be assisted in finding a position with multiple Highway Construction businesses seeking entry-level employees in the Birmingham / Huntsville areas. Training will be held at Calhoun Community College and Lawson State Community College.

Road Builders Class is a 5 week boot camp that will provide Ready to Work, Work Keys, the NCCCER CORE, OSHA 10 and a Road Builders Certification. The Department of Transportation would like to interview all those who graduate this program.
Classes will begin on January 29th and will meet Tuesday – Friday from 8 AM – 12PM.
Additional lab time will be made for those who need it.
Location: Adult Education Building (building 9), Decatur Campus, Room 123.
Orientation and enrollment will be held the first day of class in Room 123.
If you like working with your hands, spending your time outdoors, and coordinating with a team, highway construction may be the right job for you! Employment is contingent on passing a background check, drug screen, and physical.
