Calhoun Community College Hosts ‘Clean Home Alabama’ Events In Madison And Morgan Counties As Part Of Statewide Clean-up Effort

November 1, 2019

On Monday, November 4, Calhoun Community College will bring together students, faculty, staff, and community members in Madison and Morgan counties as part of the Alabama Community College System’s (ACCS) Clean Home Alabama initiative. The effort will include several days of community clean-up projects across the two counties.

With more than 60 projects across the state, Clean Home Alabama is ACCS’s contribution to help ‘Keep Alabama beautiful’, which was a project that launched during the state’s bicentennial year celebration. Alabama’s 24 community colleges are hosting projects in every corner of the state displaying their commitment to serve their communities.

“We are extremely excited to be a part of the Clean Home Alabama initiative. This is one of the many activities that will demonstrate Calhoun’s commitment to community involvement that is directly related to our students, faculty and staff,” commented Dr. Joe Burke, Calhoun Interim President.
