Calhoun Community College Kicks Off Day of Giving Challenge

December 2, 2019

Calhoun Community College will host its annual Day of Giving Challenge, #CCCDayOfGiving, on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

The money raised will specifically go towards a scholarship or program/area of choice from each donor. Funds provided by our donors assist students not only with tuition, but also many other vital college expenses which provide support for completion. Almost fifty-percent of the college’s students receive Pell grant funds and over sixty-percent receive some form of financial aid, as many would not otherwise be able to afford a college education.

Day of Giving is a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world by giving whatever they can. The College is encouraging everyone to join the challenge. The foundation is planning to use social media, email and newspaper advertising to push this 24-hour fundraising contest.

For those wanting to drop off a donation, the College will set up locations in the Sparkman building and Math, Science and CIS building on the Huntsville campus; as well as in the Math, Science and Administration building on the Decatur campus.
