Calhoun Community College to host Site Visit for Continuing Accreditation of Nursing Programs

January 14, 2020

Calhoun Community College will host a review visit by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) from February 11-13, 2020. The college is seeking continuing accreditation for its Associate of Applied Science Degree in Registered Nursing and Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate programs.

The ACEN wants to hear from employers, graduates, patients and consumers of healthcare that have experience with students/graduates of our program. As part of the process, the ACEN invites members of the public to submit third-party written and verbal comments about the program. Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet with representatives of the ACEN site visit team and share their comments about the program in person at the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Health Sciences Building, room 105, on the Decatur campus.

For those who are unable to attend, written comments are welcomed and may be mailed directly to ACEN to:

Dr. Marsal Stoll, Chief Executive Officer
Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing
3343 Peachtree Road Northeast, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326

Or via email to: mstoll@acenursing.org

All written comments should be received by the ACEN no later than February 3, 2020.
