Calhoun Invites Job Seekers to Its Fall Job Fair

September 24, 2025

Calhoun Community College’s Career Services department is proud to announce its Fall Job Fair on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Sparkman Building on the Huntsville campus.

This event is free and open to Calhoun students, graduates, and all members of the community. With more than 40 employers registered to attend, it is one of the largest hiring events in North Alabama and a valuable opportunity for networking, career exploration, and potential job placement. Employers will be seeking candidates for both part-time and full-time positions.

“Job fairs like this one provide a unique chance for job seekers to connect directly with hiring managers, gain insight into employer expectations, and practice their networking skills in a supportive environment,” said Kelli Morris, Director of Career Services & Cooperative Learning at Calhoun Community College. “We are proud to provide this free resource not only to our students but also to the community at large.”

Job seekers are encouraged to come dressed for success with a proofread résumé in hand. No pre-registration is required. Attendees can visit the job fair website for the most up-to-date employer listing.

Attending a job fair is more than just handing out résumés. It’s about discovering new companies you may not have considered before and learning directly from employers about their hiring practices and expectations. It’s a chance to introduce yourself face-to-face, which can make a lasting impression far beyond an online application.

Job fairs also provide the perfect environment to gain valuable feedback on your résumé, explore potential internships or cooperative education opportunities, and practice your professional networking skills. For students, some instructors may even offer extra credit for attending, making it a win-win. Ultimately, job seekers who take advantage of this event could walk away with new contacts, expanded career knowledge, and even job offers.

This free event for the community is made possible thanks to the generous support of Daikin America and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Calhoun Community College extends its gratitude to these industry sponsors for investing in workforce development and helping connect North Alabama’s talent with opportunity.
