Calhoun’s Basketball Teams Kick Off First Home Game Tonight With Free Admission For All Home Games!
Decatur, Alabama — It’s time to break out the Calhoun foam fingers and practice your victory dance because Calhoun Community College’s basketball teams are gearing up to take on Snead State Community College for their FIRST HOME GAME TONIGHT. The women tip off at 5pm, with the men following at 7pm in the Kelley Gymnasium on Calhoun’s Decatur campus. And here’s the fun twist – the college is offering FREE ADMISSION to all home games this season!
Derrick Powell, the head coach of the men’s basketball team, proudly boasts about the unmatched fan base the teams have in the state. “We have the #1 fan base in the state, and we aim to keep that spirit alive throughout the season. The support from our community is invaluable, and we want it to become a cherished tradition.”
Coach Powell instills a powerful philosophy in his team known as P.R.I.C.E.T.A.G. “For us, success isn’t just about winning games; it’s about instilling values that go beyond the court. P.R.I.C.E.T.A.G stands for Pride, Resilience, Integrity, Commitment, Effort, Toughness, Accountability, and God. These principles guide our actions on and off the court.”
