The libraries have added an online library card application form and we are accepting requests for curbside pickup of books. We are also adding more eBooks to the collection.
We continue to provide remote assistance with library resources and have updated the videos on the Library YouTube page that walk students through the use of various online resources. The libraries have increased communication through social media and we plan to offer live sessions via Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom to explain and demonstrate library resources and answer questions. These sessions could be presented on a regular schedule as well as by appointment. Faculty may also request virtual Library Instruction for their classes in which a librarian covers information literacy and specific library resources.
When students return to campus, in-person checkouts and face-to-face help with library resources can resume if the library user and staff member both wear facial coverings. Cleaning supplies provided by Calhoun such as hand sanitizer and/or sanitizing wipes can be made available for students to use in public spaces, particularly areas with surfaces that are frequently touched e.g. the printer, copier, and Pharos machine.
