What Is Honorlock?
Honorlock is the proctoring tool used by the Alabama Community College System to uphold academic integrity within an online environment. Exams within the course availability window are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no prior scheduling needed. AI tools monitor every session, alerting live proctors to any problematic activity. Once completed, the recorded exam session and all flagged events are available for review by the instructor.
Tech support is also available anytime to assist students and instructors at every step of the process. Check the “Help & Support” section for contact information.
Computer Requirements
Honorlock requires one of the following devices:
- A laptop or desktop computer running Windows 10+
- A laptop or desktop computer running macOS 13+

Honorlock is not supported on iPad, iPhone, Android, or any other similar tablet or phone device. Honorlock recommends students use the Google Chrome web browser. The extension is not supported in Safari, Firefox, or any other web browser. On many exams, Microsoft Edge may offer full functionality, but Honorlock and Calhoun both recommend Google Chrome.
