Calhoun Community College, in partnership with the ACCS Innovation Center Skills for Success Programs, is excited to offer a new Biotechnician course.

The Biotechnician course is a comprehensive training designed to equip aspiring biotechnicians with the necessary skills and competencies to excel in the biotech industry, including the pharmaceutical field. The course covers a wide range of topics, including current biotech methods, the primary organizations that oversee and regulate biotech products, the creation and approval process of biopharmaceuticals, the importance of lab, clinical, and manufacturing practices, different types of documents used in biotech industries, different job roles in biotech companies, safety and proper behavior in biotech workplaces, the process of making biopharmaceuticals, monitoring the environment in labs, and the importance of ethics in biotech.

By the end of the course, students will be well-equipped to handle the demands of the job and will be ready to start their careers as entry-level Biotechnicians.
