Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) Program at Calhoun
Calhoun Community College’s Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) program prepares students for a fast-paced career in emergency medical services, qualified to serve as mid-level first responders to persons with a medical emergency due to accident or illness.
Graduates of the program will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic certification exam and apply for state licensure.

An AEMT certificate program includes two courses and is completed in one semester. AEMT classes are offered twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring during daytime classes.
