Physical Therapist Assistant

Studying PTA at Calhoun

A PTA is an educated, skilled, and licensed health care worker who, under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist, helps people of all ages with health conditions that limit their ability to move and perform activities in their daily lives. PTAs work in a variety of settings and provide direct patient care to help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.

The CCC PTA program combines rigorous classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory and clinical learning experiences.  Graduates are prepared to sit for the FSBPT exam, which is required for licensure in most states, and for entry-level employment.
