Child Development, A.A.S.
The Associate of Applied Science in Child Development is designed for students who plan to work in preschool or school-age programs. This degree includes a mix of general education and child development core courses, with field experiences integrated into the curriculum. Accredited by NAEYC, the program ensures a high standard of early childhood education training.
Special Requirements: Students must complete a background check for field experiences, per the Alabama Department of Human Resources requirements.

Auxiliary Teacher Certificate
This short-term certificate prepares students to work as auxiliary teachers in early childhood settings and meets requirements for Department of Early Childhood Education, First Class Pre-K Programs. This certificate also serves as a stepping stone toward an associate degree in Child Development.
