As diesel-powered equipment continues to drive the transportation, construction, agriculture, and heavy equipment sectors, skilled technicians are more essential than ever, leading to a stable and rewarding career in an in-demand high-skill, high-wage field upon graduation.

Whether you are entering the workforce for the first time with zero mechanical background or bringing prior mechanical knowledge and experience, the Diesel Technology program provides an affordable, accessible pathway to career advancement. Students receive comprehensive training in diesel engines, fuel and emissions systems, electrical and electronic controls, braking systems, drivetrains, hydraulics, and advanced computerized diagnostic platforms in real-world environments designed to replicate today’s diesel service facilities.

Graduates of the Diesel Technology program are prepared for employment in a wide range of settings, including medium- and heavy-duty truck dealerships, construction and heavy equipment dealerships, trucking fleets, construction companies, agricultural operations, municipalities, and industrial service centers. Students may earn an Associate in Applied Science degree along with short-term certificates that enhance employability and demonstrate technical proficiency.
