What is DegreeWorks?

DegreeWorks is a web-based system that lets students and advisors monitor progress towards degree completion. It generates a degree audit report, making it easy to identify the courses that are still needed to fulfill degree or program requirements.

Who Can Access DegreeWorks?

Eligible Users:

  • All students currently attending or previously enrolled since Fall 2010.
  • Advisors and selected staff, who use it to support students’ academic goals.

Confidentiality:

  • The information in DegreeWorks is confidential and can only be accessed through secure logins.

Key Functions

What If Function

  • Purpose:
    Allows you to hypothetically change your degree, major, and/or concentration to see what classes you would need for a different degree plan.
  • Important Notes:
    • This tool does NOT officially change your major.
    • Only select a catalog year that corresponds with your attendance.
    • If you have not been continuously enrolled, verify the correct catalog year with an advisor.

To Officially Change Your Major:

Planner Function

  • Purpose:
    Enables you to work with an academic advisor to create a semester-by-semester plan (My Academic Plan – MAP) for graduation.
  • Important Notes:
    • MAPs created during Orientation and Student Success courses are stored in DegreeWorks.
    • If you don’t have a MAP, visit the Advising Center to create one.
