2026 Registration Dates

Summer Semester

March 09, 2026 – Registration opens for students with 45+ semester hours at 8:00 AM
March 11, 2026 – Registration opens for students with 30+ semester hours at 8:00 AM
March 13, 2026 – Registration opens for students with 15+ semester hours at 8:00 AM
March 16, 2026 – Registration opens for all students at 8:00 AM
Summer classes start Tuesday, May 26, 2026

*Note:

In Class Description, under Days, “R” stands for Thursday, “S” for Saturday and “U” for Sunday.
A “W” section number indicates course is ONLINE.
An “H” section number is a HYBRID course.
Under “CMP” in class description, “HSV” is Huntsville Campus, “DEC” is Decatur, “DL” is Distance Learning.
“ACA” is the Alabama Center for the Arts.
“TBA” means “To Be Announced”. “TBA” for class days/times indicates an online class.

Register for Classes on myCalhoun

myCalhoun Experience is the one-stop student portal for all the resources you need. Login to access your new student dashboard featuring access to Canvas, Outlook Student Email, and your student account. Be sure to log in using your A#@alabama.edu credentials.

How Do I Sign In?

Go to portal.calhoun.edu
Sign in with your Username & Password

What If I Forget My Password?

Go to alabama.edu and enter your username
Click Forgot Password? under the password field

Am I Eligible to Register?

Locate the Registration Self-Service card
Click Registration Dashboard
Select Prepare for Registration
Select Term and Continue

How Do I Register for Classes?

Locate the Registration Self-Service card
Click Registration Dashboard
Click Register for Classes
Select Term and Continue
- Enter Subject (ex. ENG, CHM, MTH)
- Enter Course Number (ex. 101, 111, 112)
Click Search
Select Add (in the far-right column)
Click Submit (in the bottom right corner) to complete registration

How Do I View/Print My Class Schedule?

Locate the Registration Self-Service card
Click Registration Dashboard
Click View Registration Information
Select Term and Continue
Click the Printer Icon (in the right corner of the schedule view)

How Do I Drop/Withdraw a Class?

Locate the Registration Self-Service card
Click Registration Dashboard
Click Register for Classes
Select Term and Continue
In the Summary view window, locate the Action column
Select Action (Drop or Web Withdrawn)
- (Please note: Once add/drop period has ended, “drop” options will be removed from view)
Select Submit (in the bottom right corner) to complete your request

How Do I View My Transcript?

Locate the Student Self-Service card
Click Student Dashboard
You will have the option to order your official transcripts or view your unofficial transcripts

How Do I View Course Descriptions?

Locate Registration Self-Service Card
Click Student Dashboard
Select Browse Course Catalog
Select Term and Continue
Enter Subject (ex. MTH, ART, BIO)
Enter Course Number (ex. 112, 100, 103)
Select Search
- To view full details, Select the subject Title
- Select Course Description
