Below You Will Find Ways in Which We Work With Employers to Reach Our Students:
Cooperative Learning Program
The Cooperative Learning Program is an opportunity for employers to build a talent pipeline while filling a current need and for students to gain valuable paid work experience in their field while earning college credit.
Apprenticeships
Calhoun Community College is a registered apprenticeship sponsor! Our team will work alongside you to evaluate your current employment needs, succession plan, and your overall goals for establishing a new or additional apprenticeship program. From there, together we will build a tailored apprenticeship with quality, related technical instruction that fits your specific industry needs.
Service Learning Program
Partner with us to provide meaningful service opportunities that benefit both your agency and the students, creating a lasting impact in our community. This program helps students improve their academic learning while contributing to essential community projects. Thank you for your participation in this initiative!
hireCalhoun
A FREE online portal and the most efficient way for employers to reach students and alumni with job opportunities. You will find our Employer Guide which highlights all of the portal’s features and instructions to create a hireCalhoun account. You can also use the “Resume Book” feature to search through resumes to contact qualified candidates directly.
Volunteer & Outreach
Each semester we coordinate mock interview experiences for various programs. In order to provide this service, we rely on recruiting business and industry professionals to serve as mock interviewers. Additionally, we occasionally have other opportunities for businesses to work with us in a volunteer capacity for community outreach.
Industry Tours
We would love to visit you at work! If you are willing to host a small group of students, staff, or both at your company, we would love the opportunity to tour your facility and learn more about your work firsthand.
