Calhoun Community College offers free in-person counseling services Monday – Friday to all students and employees. Whether you need help navigating personal challenges, academic stress, or have other concerns, our counselors are here to support you. Meet Leslie Shelor, LPC-S

In Fall of 2024, Calhoun Community College became the first Community College in Alabama with a full-time in-person mental health counselor. Ms. Shelor is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S). She holds a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Alabama and has over 20 years of experience providing individual and group counseling services.

Substance Abuse Counseling

The Center for Student Disability, Counseling, & Support Services offers substance abuse-specific counseling at our Decatur campus on Wednesdays from 8:30 to 10:30am. Please contact our office at 256-306-2630 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
