Email Services at Calhoun

Student email is provided once you are accepted to the college and register for classes. Your account will remain active while you are a current student. It will be deleted one year after your last semester attended.

Accessing Your Email

  • Email Format:

    Your email is Anumber@alabama.edu

  • Password:

    The password is the same as your MyCalhoun portal password

Ways to Access Your Email

  • Log in to the MyCalhoun portal and click on the email icon.
  • You may also access your email and M365 account directly at www.outlook.com/calhoun.edu.
  • For direct access you will log in with your email address and portal password.

Changing/Resetting Your Email

Because M365 email and MyCalhoun offer SingleSignOn (SSO), you can only change/reset your password using the MyCalhoun portal.

Duplicate Names in the System

Exceptions: If there are multiple students or employees with the same name, your email address may include a number. For example:

  • Example:

    john.smith@calhoun.edu and john.smith1@calhoun.edu

*Note: This only applies to names with collisions; most emails will not include a number
