U.S. Secretary of Labor Acosta to Visit Calhoun Community College and Discuss Industry- Recognized Apprenticeship Programs & Pledge to America’s Workers
June 26, 2019Decatur, AL – U.S. Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta will be traveling to Calhoun Community College to discuss the award of a $12 million grant to the Alabama Community College System that will expand apprenticeship opportunities for advanced manufacturing in the region. Secretary Acosta will join a roundtable and tour of Calhoun’s Decatur campus before taking part in a media availability with Calhoun leaders. After visiting Calhoun, Secretary Acosta will tour ADTRAN, Inc. and Dynetics in Huntsville, Alabama.
