Calhoun Chorale

Chorale

The Calhoun Chorale is the premier mixed ensemble (SATB) at the college and has between 16 and 40 members. Though vocal music majors and minors are required to participate, all other students are welcome. This ensemble performs music of all periods and gives performances throughout the year at various events. Permission of instructor and audition required.

Calhoun Community Chorus

Calhoun Community College now offers a vocal performance chorus on the Huntsville campus. This Chorus is open to ALL Calhoun students and is open to the community! The ensemble will perform classical music, spirituals, gospel, patriotic and contemporary music.

The Community Chorus will meet Mondays, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at Sherwood Baptist Church 6600 Old Madison Pike, Huntsville, AL 35806.

To join the Community Chorus, send an email to granville.oldham@calhoun.edu and follow the instructions below:

  1. Provide your cell number
  2. You will need to do a voice assessment (10 mins.) so the director may become familiar with the color and range of your voice. You will need to sing the songs “Happy Birthday,” and “Star-Spangled Banner.”
