The Alabama Community College System requires that before an offer of employment can be made, a full-time and part-time police officer applicant must go through an application process that includes and polygraph, psychological evaluation, fingerprint background check, work history background, and drug screen.

Full-Time Police Officer Salary:  Appropriate placement (depending on years of previous certified law enforcement service) on Salary Schedule E2, Grade 3: $43,464 – $59,225. Advancement to E2, Grade 2 after 3 years.
