Dear Nucor Steel,
I am writing to thank you for your generous Nucor Steel #1 scholarship. I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship.

I have had a dream of being a healthcare worker since I was in middle school. Given the unprecedented circumstances, I am considered a high school graduate and currently finishing up dual enrollment courses through Calhoun. I am mainly interested in dental hygiene but I have also been intrigued by nursing as well. I plan to pursue in either one of those fields once I graduate from Calhoun Community College and complete the programs specially based on that type of major. Thanks to you I am one step closer to completing that process.

By awarding me the Nucor Steel #1, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me.
