We are in the process of switching our current phone system over to a Zoom phone system. The new system will provide much more flexibility and convenience to employees.
You will have more flexibility! For example: You can install the Zoom app on your laptop, mobile device, or smartphone. You can have a Zoom “soft phone” installed on your laptop and use a headset instead of having to always use a desk phone. If you are put into a situation where you have to work remotely, you can answer or make calls from the Zoom app on your smartphone or laptop and the outgoing number will be your office number. Students can also call your office and it can ring to the Zoom app on your cell wherever you are! You no longer have to worry about students, vendors, colleagues, etc. being able to see your personal number. You will not be required to do this on your smartphone, it is just an added feature. Also you can do this only when needed by setting schedules within the system that tells it when, or if, it can ring to the app on your mobile device.
The Zoom phone system is an “all-on-one” collaboration system…you can take your calls straight into a Zoom meeting, record your calls or meetings, set an AI assistant to summarize your Zoom meeting, and more…
Also your voicemail is accessible via the Zoom app on your laptop or smartphone and has a great transcribing tool. For example, if you are in a meeting and get a call you can send it to voicemail. Within seconds you can read the transcribed voicemail and decide if you need to step out of your meeting to return the call. All voicemails are automatically set up to be sent to your email as well. All of this can be configured by YOU in your Zoom profile.
Make the system be convenient for you. All of that power is in your hands!
